ReelHunt – tietosuojaseloste
ReelHunt on metsästäjien ja kalastajien saalispäiväkirja, jonka tarjoaa Tinyforge (tinyforge.fi, Y-tunnus 1807391-0). Sovellusta voi käyttää ilman käyttäjätiliä; tili on vapaaehtoinen. Sovelluksessa ei ole mainoksia eikä seurantaa, eikä tietojasi myydä kenellekään.
Tiedot, jotka pysyvät puhelimessasi
Saaliit, kuvat, merkit (esim. passit), reitit, profiilisi (miten kalastat ja metsästät), porukoiden viestit ja niiden salausavaimet tallentuvat puhelimesi selaimen tai sovelluksen omaan tallennustilaan. Jos et kirjaudu, ne ovat vain siellä. Voit tehdä niistä varmuuskopiotiedoston itse ja poistaa ne milloin tahansa poistamalla sovelluksen tai sen tiedot.
Vapaaehtoinen tili ja pilvivarmuuskopio
Jos kirjaudut, tallennamme sähköpostiosoitteesi, kielen, tilin luontiajan, viimeisimmän käyttöajan sekä tiedon siitä, saako sinulle lähettää uutisia (oletuksena ei). Kirjautumiskoodi lähetetään sähköpostiisi; palvelin tallentaa vain koodin tiivisteen, ja koodi vanhenee 15 minuutissa. Sähköpostiosoitettasi käytetään kirjautumiseen ja tärkeisiin tiliä koskeviin viesteihin, ja uutisiin vain jos olet antanut siihen luvan.
Kirjautuneena sovellus varmuuskopioi pilveen saaliit (myös niiden paikat), merkit, reitit, profiilin, porukat avaimineen ja porukoiden viestit sekä kuvista pienet esikatselukuvat. Pilvivarmuuskopiota ei ole salattu niin, ettei palvelin voisi lukea sitä: se on suojattu kirjautumisella ja Cloudflaren tallennuksen salauksella. Jos et halua, että tiedot ovat palvelimella, älä kirjaudu ja käytä varmuuskopiotiedostoa.
Voit poistaa tilin milloin tahansa kohdasta Asetukset → Tili ja pilvivarmuuskopio → Poista tili. Silloin tili, kirjautumiset ja pilvivarmuuskopio poistetaan heti. Puhelimessa olevat tiedot säilyvät.
ReelHunt Plus ja seurapaketti (tilaukset)
ReelHunt Plus ja seurapaketti ostetaan Google Playn tai App Storen kautta. Maksun käsittelee kauppa: emme näe korttitietojasi emmekä nimeäsi. Ostot välitetään RevenueCat-palveluun (RevenueCat, Inc., Yhdysvallat), joka tarkistaa ostokuitit ja kertoo sovellukselle, onko tilaus voimassa. RevenueCat saa ostotiedot (tuote, hinta, ostoaika, voimassaolo, kauppa ja maa) sekä tunnisteen, joka on puhelimessa luotu satunnainen tunnus tai, jos olet kirjautunut, ReelHunt-tilisi tunnus.
Palvelimemme tallentaa saman tunnisteen sekä tilauksen tyypin (Plus tai seurapaketti), voimassaolon päättymisajan, tuotteen ja tiedon siitä, jatkuuko tilaus. Kun ostat seurapaketin porukalle, palvelin tallentaa lisäksi porukan tunnisteen, jotta porukan muut jäsenet näkevät passitaulun avatuksi. Porukan viestejä, nimeä tai avainta palvelin ei näe. Tilauksen tiedot poistetaan, kun poistat tilin; itse tilaus perutaan kaupan tilauksista.
Ilman tilausta kaikki kirjaamasi säilyy: voit aina katsoa saaliitasi ja viedä ne ulos varmuuskopiona.
Sijainti
Sijaintia käytetään vain, kun kirjaat saaliin, merkitset paikan tai pyydät näyttämään sijaintisi kartalla. Tarkka sijainti tallentuu vain puhelimeesi.
Tietoja, jotka lähtevät palveluihin
- Sää ja veden lämpötila: saaliin tai kartan paikka ja aika lähetetään Open-Meteo-palveluun (open-meteo.com) ja Suomen ympäristökeskuksen (Syke) avoimeen rajapintaan säätietojen hakemiseksi. Mukana ei ole tietoja sinusta.
- Kartat: karttakuvat haetaan OpenTopoMapilta, OpenStreetMapilta, Maanmittauslaitokselta, Traficomilta ja Sykeltä. Kuten verkkosivuilla yleensä, nämä palvelut näkevät laitteesi IP-osoitteen ja katsotun karttaruudun.
- Porukat: viestit, kuvat, jaetut saaliit, passivaraukset, tykkäykset ja kommentit salataan puhelimessasi ennen lähetystä. Välityspalvelin (Cloudflare) näkee vain salattua dataa eikä pysty lukemaan sitä, ja se poistaa viestit 30 päivän jälkeen. Salausavain on vain kutsulinkissä ja porukan jäsenten puhelimissa.
- Ilmoitukset: jos laitat ilmoitukset päälle, palvelin tallentaa puhelimesi ilmoitusosoitteen (push-tilaus). Porukkailmoituksissa ei ole viestin tekstiä. Iltaisia säävinkkejä varten palvelin tallentaa lisäksi karkean alueesi (noin 10 km tarkkuudella) ja kalastus- ja metsästysvalintasi ilman nimeä. Ilmoitukset voi laittaa pois sovelluksen asetuksista, jolloin tiedot poistetaan.
- Käyttötilastot: sovellus lähettää kerran päivässä nimettömän tiedon käytöstä: puhelimessa luodun satunnaisen tunnisteen, laitetyypin (Android, iPhone, tietokone), kielen, saaliiden, merkkien ja porukoiden lukumäärät sekä tiedon siitä, ovatko ilmoitukset ja profiili käytössä. Palvelin tallentaa tunnisteesta vain tiiviste-arvon, joka vaihtuu kuukausittain, joten yksittäistä puhelinta ei voi seurata kuukaudesta toiseen. Tiedot poistetaan 400 päivän jälkeen. Tilastot voi laittaa pois kohdasta Asetukset → Tietoja.
- Kysely: sovelluksen erillinen kysely on nimetön, ja vastaukset tallentuvat palvelimen tietokantaan.
Palveluntarjoajat
Sovellus ja välityspalvelin toimivat Cloudflaren (Cloudflare, Inc., Yhdysvallat) palvelussa; tietokanta sijaitsee Länsi-Euroopassa. Kirjautumiskoodit lähetetään Resend-palvelun (Resend, Inc., Yhdysvallat) kautta. Tilaukset: Google Play (Google), App Store (Apple) ja RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., Yhdysvallat). Sää: Open-Meteo. Kartat ja vesitiedot: OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, Maanmittauslaitos, Traficom, Syke.
Lapset
Sovellusta ei ole suunnattu alle 13-vuotiaille.

ReelHunt – privacy policy
ReelHunt is a catch log for hunters and anglers, provided by Tinyforge (tinyforge.fi, Finnish business ID 1807391-0). You can use it without an account; an account is optional. The app has no ads and no tracking, and your data is never sold.
Data that stays on your phone
Catches, photos, pins (such as stands), routes, your profile (how you fish and hunt), group messages and their encryption keys are stored in your phone's browser or app storage. If you don't sign in, that is the only place they are. You can make a backup file yourself and delete everything at any time by removing the app or its data.
Optional account and cloud backup
If you sign in, we store your email address, language, when the account was created and last used, and whether we may email you news (off unless you tick it). The sign-in code is emailed to you; the server stores only a hash of it, and it expires after 15 minutes. Your email address is used for signing in and for important messages about your account, and for news only if you have agreed to it.
While signed in, the app backs up to the cloud your catches (including their places), pins, routes, profile, groups with their keys and group messages, and small previews of your photos. The cloud backup is not encrypted so that the server couldn't read it: it is protected by your sign-in and by Cloudflare's storage encryption. If you don't want this data on the server, don't sign in and use the backup file instead.
You can delete your account at any time under More → Account and cloud backup → Delete account. The account, its sign-ins and the cloud backup are deleted straight away. The data on your phone stays.
ReelHunt Plus and the club plan (subscriptions)
ReelHunt Plus and the club plan are bought through Google Play or the App Store. The store handles the payment: we never see your card details or your name. Purchases are passed to RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States), which checks the store receipts and tells the app whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives the purchase details (product, price, time of purchase, expiry, store and country) and an id, which is a random id made on your phone or, if you are signed in, your ReelHunt account id.
Our server stores the same id and the kind of subscription (Plus or club plan), when it ends, the product and whether it renews. When you buy a club plan for a group, the server also stores the group's id, so the other members see the stand board unlocked. The server never sees the group's messages, name or key. The subscription details are deleted when you delete your account; the subscription itself is cancelled in the store.
Without a subscription everything you have recorded stays: you can always view your catches and export them as a backup.
Location
Location is used only when you log a catch, mark a place or ask the map to show where you are. The exact location is stored only on your phone.
Data sent to services
- Weather and water temperature: the place and time of a catch or of the map view are sent to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) and to the open interface of the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) to look up weather. No information about you is included.
- Maps: map images come from OpenTopoMap, OpenStreetMap, the National Land Survey of Finland, Traficom and Syke. As with websites in general, these services see your device's IP address and the map area viewed.
- Groups: messages, photos, shared catches, stand reservations, likes and comments are encrypted on your phone before they are sent. The relay server (Cloudflare) only sees scrambled data, cannot read it, and deletes messages after 30 days. The encryption key exists only in the invite link and on the members' phones.
- Notifications: if you turn notifications on, the server stores your phone's notification address (push subscription). Group notifications contain no message text. For evening weather tips the server also stores your rough area (about 10 km) and your fishing and hunting choices, without a name. Turning notifications off in the app's settings deletes this.
- Usage statistics: once a day the app sends an anonymous note that it is in use: a random id made on the phone, the device type (Android, iPhone, computer), the language, how many catches, pins and groups there are, and whether notifications and the profile are in use. The server keeps only a hash of the id that changes every month, so a single phone cannot be followed from one month to the next. The data is deleted after 400 days. Statistics can be turned off under More → About.
- Survey: the app's separate survey is anonymous; answers are stored in the server's database.
Service providers
The app and the relay run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States); the database is in western Europe. Sign-in codes are sent through Resend (Resend, Inc., United States). Subscriptions: Google Play (Google), App Store (Apple) and RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States). Weather: Open-Meteo. Maps and water data: OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, National Land Survey of Finland, Traficom, Syke.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
